October–November 2026: Of Mice and Men
Our book for October–November 2026 is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, a short American classic of about 110 pages. It follows two friends, George and Lennie, who travel together looking for farm work and dream of owning a small piece of land. It is a quick read with simple language and plenty to talk about: friendship, loneliness, dreams and difficult choices.
How to take part
- Choose Yes, I will present below before the sign-up deadline.
- Find a copy of the book from a bookshop, library or online. JAAMIR does not provide copies.
- Prepare a 4–5 minute presentation: your reading of the story, a character or theme you found interesting, and your own opinion.
- Once you are confirmed, add the session to your Google Calendar and join on Google Meet at the time below.
Open to anyone aged 12 or over who lives in Bangladesh, of any nationality. The judges will choose the three best presenters, who will receive book prizes.
