Shafinur Shafin

Shafinur Shafin, a distinguished poet from Bangladesh, has made significant contributions to the literary world. In 2016, she marked her literary debut with the publication of her book titled “Nisangam.” Notably, in 2022, she accomplished the remarkable feat of translating Charles Dickens’ renowned work, “A Christmas Carol.” Alongside her poetic endeavours, Mrs. Shafin serves as the esteemed poetry editor of Prachya Review, an esteemed e-zine. Her language proficiency shines through, as her Bangla poems have been translated into seven languages, including Nepalese, Hindi, French, Spanish, German, and Italian.
Furthermore, her English poetry has earned recognition, being featured in anthologies published in New York and the Philippines, as well as in esteemed international magazines. Currently, Mrs. Shafin is pursuing her Doctorate in English Literature at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei, supported by a prestigious Brunei Government Scholarship. Her commitment to the literary arts and scholarly pursuits exemplifies her dedication and passion for literature.
